Dear friends in Holland,
Our organisation Kindness in Minsk has nearly finished all its work. At
this moment we are speaking with the Belarusian authorities about the
end of Kindness. So officially Kindness will stop within a few weeks.
The last children’s project ended at the end of June. We are very happy
that we can look back on so many successful projects.
Thank to God for all the possibilities we have had to do our work for
Kindness and for the opportunities to meet so many enthusiastic people
that shared our care about the Chernobyl children in our country. It
wasn’t always easy but each time we have got the strength to do what was
necessary.
We want to thank all working groups and organisations in Holland we have
worked with during all the years Kindness existed for their help and
co-operative attitude.
In the coming weeks we will really end all our activities. That means
that our website and email address will stop. It also means that we are
not available anymore for guest parent trips. People who want to visit
Belarus have to search for another organisation that can help them. We
know in Holland there is a very helpful website called:
www.wit-rusland.startpagina.nl on which you can find most of the
information needed for visiting Belarus.
People ask us what we are going to do. At first we will take some rest.
After that we will try to get some work as mediators between Belarusian
and Dutch commercial companies. In this way we hope to earn some money
for our pensions.
On behalf of many Belarusian children and of ourselves we thank you for
your hospitality and your warm hearts. We wish you and all yours all the
